Coro, Corocraft and Vendome
Partners Colin and Gerald Rosenberger began Coro with the purpose of bringing reasonably priced jewellery to the people. By the late 1920's they were manufacturing in Providence, Rhode Island.
They began their upmarket Corocraft line in the 1940's.
Their double pin Coro Duettes are much sought after and have become a collecting field in their own right.
Operated as a subsidiary of Coro, Vendome was a high-quality line that succeeded Corocraft. Vendome was in business from 1944 to 1979. Vendome jewelry was made with brilliant, high-quality European stones and beads. Many Vendome designs are delightfully unique, employing moveable parts and rich enameling.
